Prior joining Paynter Dixon, John was a Project Manager with Civil & Civic (Lend Lease) and was responsible for the design, project management and construction of a variety of commercial, education, defence and major public sector projects. • Since joining Paynters as Design & Development Manager, John has developed and grown the company's business in the Hospitality, Education, Defence, Community, Health & Aged Care sectors. In 2008 he was promoted to Projects Director and in 2013 joined the company board as an equity shareholder.• John and Paynters' team have been instrumental in design and development of Health, Aged Care and Seniors Living projects throughout Queensland for both for private, not-for-profit and public sector clients. • He has been actively involved in supporting the Aged Care and Retirement Living sector for over 20 years participating in research and presenting papers at industry events. This has included review and comment on planning controls, design and development innovations which better support seniors daily living and care needs, as well as planning and design solutions to improve operational efficiency and affordability. • John has undertaken a number of international study tours to review trends and innovations in Aged Care and Seniors Living development which have informed Paynters innovative approach to Aged Care and Seniors Living in the local context.

  John is a director of Paynters Pty Ltd, a multidisciplinary project management, design and construction company with offices in Brisbane, Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville & Cairns. He is a registered architect and has a Master’s degree in Urban & Regional Planning and has over 35 years’ experience in design, construction and project management. John joined Paynters (formerly Paynter Dixon Queensland) in 1998 as design and development manager. Prior to this he was a Project Manager with Civil & Civic (Lend Lease) and was responsible for the design, project management and construction of a variety of commercial, education, defence and major public sector projects.
