I am a member of Atkins' Senior Management team for Intelligent Mobility (IM) which looks to connect people places and goods across all modes of Transport. IM provides expertise in how technology, IT systems and data analytics can be used to give the right people the right information in the right format at the right time. My role covers:ROADS of the FUTURE – working with automotive manufacturers to establish their position around Vehicle to Vehicle and Vehicle to Infrastructure communication and multi modal routing. This includes VENTURER and FLOURISH, two Innovate UK winning consortia for driverless and connected car research in Bristol/South West England. This works looks at both the technical and behavioural aspects of driverless vehicles and seeks to address issues concerning insurance and legislative areas.JOURNEY MANAGEMENT – Defining current and future customer behaviour's linked to technology around journey management. This includes understanding customer experience, IT systems and architecture, new data analytics techniques and sources, mobile phone technology, smart and mobile ticketing, seamless real time journey information, and scheduling.
