John McCartney is a Managing Partner of Artesian and is Head of Artesian (US). He is responsible for Artesian's North American fixed income and VC business. John maintains the Firm's relationships with the Investment Banks, Banks, Broker/Dealers in the North America fixed income markets as well as monitoring the later stage investments from the start ups that have "graduated to the US market". Through these responsibilities for the late stage VC portfolio, John is expanding and deepening the Firm's relationships with other VC providers and brokers in those markets. John is one of the prime movers of the High Impact Green Bond Fund post its inception in 2016. Prior to co-founding the Artesian Group in 2004, John spent 9 years at ANZ Banking Group, where he held a series of securitization and trading positions within the Capital Markets Group, including the Head of Government Bond Trading across Australia, New Zealand & India and the Head of International Credit Trading. John has Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Economics from the University of Western Australia.
