My role as Media Consultant is to establish relationships with new clients and increase our existing client relationships. In order to achieve the high standards, set by Canpages, I have to seize every, opportunity to represent a strong offering of cutting-edge, innovative online, on-the-go, and print solutions to meet today's ever changing business market needs.During my time here I was promoted to Internet Trainer. The role was to train and ride along with staff. To educate the clients and the consultants on how the internet operates and how it can best serve their needs. Training took place in boardroom settings and also in the field. I was given this role after Yellow Media (Yellow Pages Group) purchased Canpages. Part of the interview process we all had to go through was a quiz on Google Adwords. None of the staff were familiar with the system as they had never needed to use it. I created a presentation and trained them all in 2 days how the fundamentals worked. No one failed this test. I also gave numerous one on one training sessions and encouraged people, wherever possible to try things out, to learn for themselves. I enjoyed this role immensly as it encouraged me to learn more and watching the change happen in people, as they begun to understand and demonstrate the knowledge in the feild was amazing. More importantly it increased the internet sales for the Company, and for the consultants.
