I have been in the Counseling field for 30 years. I achieved a Masters Degree in Counseling from the University of Oklahoma in 1982 and was the top student in my class. I began working with addictions. I did that for 12 years and in 1992, I went into private practice. Working with addictions was a fabulous learning experience. Just about any situation you can experience with non-addicted people, you experience with addicted people also - just magnified. That experience has helped me to become much more aware intuitively of what may be really troubling people and it helps me to assist them in dealing with their issues clearly and quickly. I love working with people and when I see that "Aha" light come on in their eyes, the point when they realize exactly what is going on inside them, it is a wonderful sight for me.
