As an Intermediate Java Engineer, I participated in maintaining our existing Java EE applications, support and develop the API for the Ohio State App and ushered a transition from using Angular 1 to React and separating our UI from our API. I developed a CI/CD process for the local cloud computing environment.

Columbus City Schools has made great strides transitioning to industry technologies (Grails, JavaScript, jQuery, Git) and Agile Methodologies, particularly test driven development. I am supporting this transition and assisting in testing, utilizing Spock, development, with Grails and JavaScript. They are taking their investment in web development and applications seriously. Which takes a great place to work and turns it into an excellent one. Providing quality test driven development (TDD) that adds value and furthers a client web application.NextGen Agilist Bootcamp Participant (Completed July 2015):Completed a comprehensive six-week course in Agile development learning to use enterprise tools that include: Eclipse, Maven, Subversion, and Jenkins for continuous integration. Developed a real-world product for resource management, called STAR - some technologies used were Spring, Spring Security, Struts2, Tiles, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Cucumber/Ruby. Worked within a strict Agile environment - divided into six one-week iterations, starting each day with a stand-up meeting, keeping big visuals to track progress, working with partners for paired programming, receiving code reviews, ending iterations with retrospectives, and practicing strong Test-Driven Development (TDD) using powerful tools that include JUnit and EasyMock. Used Ruby to run Cucumber with Watir and Page Object for highly expressive Acceptance Testing.

As a Manifest Solutions Consultant I supported three projects focusing on employee purchasing and travel requests utilizing Elasticsearch, Groovy, Spring Boot, Representational state transfer (REST) architecture, Gulp, AngularJS, Hibernate, and SQL Developer. The architecture was supported by unit tests in JUnit and Jasmine. I participated in daily stand-up and bi-weekly sprint meetings. The team utilized JIRA to track bugs, features and user stories. I was able to refer to Angular templates and search parameters through Single Sign On (SSO) with Apache rewrite rules and the support of the Operations team here at The Ohio State University. I received high praise from team with regards to quality of work, teamwork, and ethic.

During my time at LBrands I was involved in a successful project that automated Register Variances and Sensor Tag reporting at the Home Office level utilizing Ruby, Ruby gems, Watir, Roo, Excel, Web Application(ORBIT), and SQL. This project saves an estimated 10 man-hours per week.
