John has consulted on over $500 million in real estate development and obtained over $135 million in funding for projects providing affordable housing and services to low income communities. The facilities operate across the United States. John has secured over $300 million of tax credit allocation across 25 projects. John has worked with all eleven Federal Home Loan Banks' Affordable Housing Programs, state housing authorities to secure Low Income Housing Tax Credits, and Community Development Entities with New Markets Tax Credits. John works with nonprofit housing and service providers, architects, contractors, attorneys, investors, donors, and accountants, to structure and close forgivable loan and tax credit funding.

Contributed over 200 articles of analysis and commentary regarding the Detroit Tigers for the Bless You Boys website, part of SB Nation.Also provided a weekly baseball segment on 1260 AM "The Pledge".

Led cross-functional teams developing all products for Chrysler through launch process. Involved in developing new opportunities for sales. Led product definition phase with customer. Quoted programs and changes. Highlights of 30 programs with many industry firsts include launching UConnect hands-free phone mirror, SmartBeam automatic highbeam control, and dual microphone telematics mirror.Negotiated contracts for a $600 million tier one automotive supplier on business with Chrysler. Resolved prototyping and tooling issues while expanding market presence into Germany, China, and Russia. This resulted in doubling sales from $22 million to $44 million in nine years.

Developed molding processes and selected fiberglass and balsa wood materials for the ’97 Corvette cored composite floor plans.Specified and tracked major tooling, devised manufacturing techniques, transferred technology to key suppliers, and prototyped a composite pickup box for the C/K platform using Structural Reaction Injection Molding.
