In 2012 John McGrane established LeanSkills which provides Lean Manufacturing consultancy, training and mentoring. Currently he is working on a lean transformation project with Smiley Monroe Ltd, a dynamic SME who are currently ccelebrating 30 years as specialists in the design, manufacture, installation and service of conveyor belts, screening media, rubber skirting & gaskets and conveyor spillage control & dust encapsulation system s for end users and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of mobile crushing, screening and recycling equipment in the UK & Ireland markets, with export worldwide. Before establishing LeanSkills, John McGrane was Lean Manufacturing Coach at Terex GB from 2005 until 2012 guiding lean transformation journey.In addition to lean techniques he has also coached & mentored the introduction of Sales & Operational Planning and Balanced Scorecard ObjectivesFor the past 15 years he has specialised in the introduction of lean manufacturing and allied techniques, with an emphasis on mentoring middle and senior management on how to manage Lean systems.His early career was as an Industrial Engineer with Ford Motor Company from 1972 until 2005. In 2002 he received his MSc in Industrial Practice from Ulster University.His Early career was concerned with productivity improvement, capacity planning, investment analysis, forward program evaluation planning and launch.
