Project Manager for a variety of multi-discipline KEPCO E&C projects and Turkey Point Nuclear Plant projects, such as Open Phase Detection and Protection design, radiological analyses, HVAC analyses, sand storm protection design, MSO evaluations, steam explosion analyses, seismic consulting, hydrodynamic loading development, chlorination system design, etc.Structural Consultant for Technical and Licensing Issues, such as the ABWR design, seismic analysis, containment design, etc.

Managed the detailed structural design of the Reactor Building (RB) and Reinforced Concrete Containment Vessel (RCCV) for Toshiba’s ABWR for South Texas Project Units 3 & 4. Led structural effort in the replacement of the new fiberglass cooling tower at Palisades.

Led team of structural engineers for projects, including security alarm station renovation, MSSS Building steel framing analysis, personnel safety modifications, blast analyses, GSI-191 containment sump strainer frame design, design of HDPE piping replacement, design of the tornado-resistant concrete vaults, design of new foundations for steam generator rigging and transport loading, and designed the replacement of SW piping and HPCI piping. Prepared the Security Plan for COLA submittal.

Led structural effort in the design of post-9/11 plant modifications (building blast-resistance enhancements, installation of security positions, design of internal barriers) enhancing the ability of security to defend the plant and designed vehicle barrier systems. Designed a variety of steel and concrete structures and developed various plant modification packages. Developed the designs and provided field support for permanent shielding installations in the drywell and Containment. Developed General Arrangement Drawings for 2 facilities at the Argonne National Laboratory (RIA and AEBL). Evaluated structural monitoring programs and issued program improvement recommendations.

Acted as Responsible Engineer (RE) for numerous plant modification packages, designed the structural steel framing for the removal of the reactor coolant pump (RCP) motor, performed seismic analysis of buildings and bridge cranes and developed response spectra for them, and acted as Responsible Engineer (RE) for the Spent Fuel Cask Handling Crane installation, overseeing concrete pours for the foundations and installation of the structural steel. Developed the original structural monitoring program for Wolf Creek in accordance with the Maintenance Rule (10CFR50.65), developed and evaluated rigging schemes for plant components (valves, pumps), developed and evaluated configurations for hanging lead shielding, and provided outage support coverage at the site. Developed, ran, and wrote procedures for the groundwater in-leakage, flooding and scaffolding programs, and performed condition assessments and prepared condition assessment reports for various coal and nuclear plant structures, such as concrete chimneys, precipitators, and outdoor bus ducts.
