Responsible for tracking and controls of Construction & Engineering activities, budgeting, progressing activities, scope control and change management, schedule management, cost and schedule impact identification and mitigation, and Subcontract Administration. Additional efforts include monitoring, evaluating, and advisory role on project controls efforts on other in-house projects and review of the overall project execution efforts, and support as Contract Administrator for $300 million federally funded project. Recent assignments include Program Project Controls Manager for a $230 million Pharmaceutical revamp in response to FDA Consent Decree and as Project Controls Manager on a $150 million HF production facility.

Responsible for review, oversight, and supervision of the project controls efforts for major capital projects. Including establishing the controls methods and procedures utilized, the resources necessary to accomplish the controls effort, the application and interpretation of commercial terms and conditions as appropriate for the project, and monitoring and final review of the overall project execution effort.

Project Consultant. Responsible for Project Controls on various pharmaceutical projects including solid oral dosage facility expansion, central utilities expansion, HVAC upgrade, QA/QC building design and engineering, and development of Site Master Plan with total project values of $125 million. This included support of RFP development and review of bids, support and direction of Project Controls efforts throughout the project execution, interface and liaison for contractual implementation of all Commercial aspects, review for contractual compliance and invoicing, and other general support of the Project Management and execution of the engineering, design, procurement, and construction management efforts. Involved in all aspects of Project Controls including Project Management, Planning, Scheduling, Contracts, Finance, and Administration for engineering, procurement, construction, and construction management for a $200 million grassroots acrylic acid plant and a $140 million refrigerant plant.

Responsible for estimating, cost engineering, and project control on capital projects ranging from $1million to over $300 million in capital investment authorizations and coordinated scope, plan, and budget alternatives with business and operations groups. Responsible for staffing and assignment of ARCO controls personnel and direction of Engineering Contractor’s project control efforts on ARCO projects. Developed and administered annual engineering operating budget. Lead Project Controls function following the explosion and fire in the utility section of a major production facility and assisted in a very successful $50 million six-month redesign and rebuild effort. Following project execution, prepared full documentation to successfully defend business and property insurance claims.

Manager of Business Development. Sales and Marketing for a U.S. – Japanese joint Venture Company. Included research and identification of market and implementation of sales approach for first of its kind $100 million Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) project for the utility industry. Responsible for the sales development and management of alternatives to waste disposal of by-product. Successfully reversed a $6 million disposal cost to create an additional annual revenue stream of $2 million for the joint venture. Integrated a strong costing, analytical, and planning background with extensive customer interface, sales proposal development and presentation, and contract negotiations to pursue a new business venture.
