I was able use my maintenance experience and understanding of the production process to make improvements that measurably increased productivity at the Port Clinton facility. I worked closely with the facility manager, production manager and safety manager. I filled the roll of production supervisor, production manager and maintenance manager while they were away from the facility.

Used Root Cause analysis to improve equipment and reduce down time. Manage equipment improvement projects. As a member of the safety committee I worked closely with the safety coordinator to improve safety at the Port Clinton location. I assisted with accident investigations at the Port Clinton and Toledo locations.

Maintain and repair production equipment including calenders, mills, presses, repaired fork lifts and cranes. Rebuilt gearboxes. I Maintained boilers and air compressors. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical AC and DC, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Fabricate and repair parts using milling machines, lathes, grinders, saws, welders, mig, tig and stick. Set up new equipment. Worked with electricians to run conduit and pull wire. Complete equipment improvement projects as assigned. Perform preventive maintenance as directed.

Use machine tools, milling machines manual and CNC to make parts needed to manufacture wings for the US military and commercial aircraft. Projects included the B1B bomber, C5B cargo aircraft and space shuttle.
