John is an enthusiastic, experienced and competent trainer. Drawing on his extensive qualifications and 15 years of workplace experience across the Northern Territory, allows him to deliver workshop content and coaching content that is highly relevant to the often-unique context of life and business in the NT. John has delivered training across the NT for the last 9 years including Accredited VET training. He has experience working with organisations and NT Government Departments to design and deliver contextual, ‘fit for purpose’ workplace deliveries collaboratively and successfully. The Pathways NT Master Class workshops build on this experience to provide relevant , contextual and interactive skills.Born in New Zealand, John completed a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Resource and Environmental Management) and a Secondary Teaching Diploma at University of Auckland ahead of furthering his career options in Australia.John’s career roles included international event management and complex construction project responsibility. John has trained and worked as a Counsellor in the area of mental health. He has specialised in the area of Employee wellness needs in the building construction and mining sectors.Following on from 25 years in Cairns, Far North Queensland, John shifted to the Northern Territory in 2007. The relocation to Darwin was to take a role in suicide prevention and intervention. In the following 4 years, John took up opportunities to work in remote and indigenous land care projects, with Conservation Volunteers, and to manage the Northern Territories peak body for volunteering.Since 2011 John has delivered services through Pathways NT while concurrently providing logistics and marketing for the Darwin Symphony Orchestra and in a business development role for Helping People Achieve. As an organisation they provide ongoing event management, consultancy and grant resourcing for organisations including NO MORE, Veolia NT, City of Darwin, HPA, ALPA and others.John now operates Pathways NT on a full-time basis, with a focus on outcomes for the community and Not for Profit organisations. In 2022 Pathways NT have successfully launched the "Pathways NT Master Class Workshops.
