CurrentEXPERIENCE*** Currently on Planning Committee for the 2019 CORS National Confernce to be held in Saskatoon 27-29 May, 2019 ***Operational Research Consultant based in Saskatoon• Contract work for a Logistics consulting company. Evaluated a proposed supply chain for nitrogen fertilizer purchase and distribution by building a Linear Programming Distribution Model in Excel.• Contract work for Consumers’ Co-operative Refinery in Regina. Used large scale Commercial LP models of the integrated CCRL Refinery and UpGrader complex to review monthly operations and the impact of departures from planned operations on the transfer pricing between the two financial entities owning the upgrading facility.• Contract work for an Asphalt plant in Western Canada. Built and calibrated a multi-period, multi-product Linear Programming model in Excel to explore and optimize strategic decisions regarding product mix, new product possibilities, crude purchase mix and potential capital expansion projects.• Pro-Bono for Community Association - Submission to City of Saskatoon. Built simple economic model in Excel of Tall Wind Turbine project to evaluate the impact of uncertainty in the project capital costs using Monte Carlo Simulation for uncertain cost components.• Made extensive modifications to a pre-existing Excel spread sheet for evaluating the distortions at the base of large storage tanks. The system was rigorously tested, implemented and documented. It resulted in significant savings in time and improved reliability of analysis.• U of S Edwards School of Business. As a sessional lecturer taught a one term P.O.M. course to 3rd and 4th year students.* Discussed methods for optimal sourcing of raw material (scrap iron & steel) with respect to supply limits, price, shipping costs and transit times with uncertainties in transit times.
