40 years of Engineering mostly at sea. Experience gained in a wide variety of ships and trades. Engine plants include Slow, Medium and .high Speed Diesels. Early years including Geared Steam Turbines, later years included time on Sail assisted Cruise ships as well as those with Gas Turbines. Ship types are equally varied. refrigerated Container and cargo ships, Passenger ships Ro-Ro and coastal ferries. Several years were spent on LPG Tankers as well as a limited period on an Oil Tanker.I have as part of my Sandwich Degree worked in the Packaging Industry. Time was also spent in a Teaching Capacity delivering a variety of short courses to Marine Professionals.
