Theprocess included speaking to the learners via the telephone and ensuring they met theeligibility criteria for the funding. I also learnt how to better follow working procedure andrules of compliance. It has also taught me lessons in how to be organised to ensure a taskis completed from start to finish as effectively as possible.After promotion to Project Coordinator, my responsibility and workload increased whilst alsobecoming more varied. I started to take on large cohorts of learners and manage themthroughout their training. Duties included general customer service, communicating withcustomers via the telephone and email, daily use of spreadsheets to monitor learnernumbers and outputs, and the compliance checking of paperwork to ensure that it meets EU(European Union) and DWP (Department of Work and Pensions) rules. This has reallybenefited me as I feel I have become much better at multi-tasking and time management,and I have become extremely confident using Microsoft Office on a daily basis .I was also part of the internal ‘Green Team’ at Cornwall Marine Network. The ‘Green Team’is responsible for making Cornwall Marine Network more sustainable in terms of its policiesand in the way it is run, working towards its Sustainability Implementation Plan. Show less

My main role was handling complaints and queries from guests, home owners andother areas such as house-keeping etc. This was either carried out via face-to-face conversations when someone would come into the office or by either phone callor using our online system Zendesk. Taking thisjob proved to be very beneficial for me as the work was challenging and different towhat I had done previously. This job also gave me a great introduction to OfficeAdministration and gave me a fantastic grounding in skills for future roles. Show less
