My most recent placement is at Alta Gas in Blythe CA. Alta Gas is a 520 MW natural gas-fired combined cycle power plant. The facility has a power purchase agreement with Southern California Edison and interconnects to the power grid via a 67-mile transmission line. I am progressively responsible for all facets of operations and maintenance of the plant.I conduct inspections of watch, assessing and addressing issues found with plant equipment. As well as operate the facility during start-up, shutdown, normal, and emergency conditions in accordance with operating procedures and instructions to maintain a safe and efficient operation.
