Profile bio

About John Miller

I’m a web and print designer with experience in front end development (XHTML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery), ux and ui design, audio and video editing, and a background in illustration and painting. I am an expert in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Flash, Tumult Hype (for HTML animation), Camtasia, Axure (for wireframing). and even PowerPoint!I enjoy problem solving, coming up with creative solutions to complex problems, and sharing those solutions in understandable ways. While I love designing and making things, my most fulfilling experiences come when someone comes to me with a problem they can’t figure out and I am able to not only resolve the problem, but give them the solution that they themselves can use in the future.I also enjoy learning new programming languages and their applications. While not yet an advanced user, I have studied Ruby, Lua, Standard ML, and Racket. I enjoy studying both functional and object oriented programming. My plans for the near future are to study more back end web implementation and become a full stack developer and designer. Frameworks and languages on my to-do list include Node.JS, PHP, working with databases (SQL or something else), and AJAX. I’m also interested in pair programming, but currently lack a project or a partner. So if you know anyone who may be interested please let me know.

Listed skills include Graphic Design, Indesign, Web Design, Illustrator, and 36 others.

I also provide technical and artistic direction to the designers for projects in my sleeve. In the case of original or new types of digital marketing collateral, I’m given the opportunity to use my skills in design and development to wireframe, storyboard, and/or prototype new formats.I coordinate with Marketing Managers to accurately scope projects, acquire and refine project core requirements, and create comprehensive plans for deliverable development.
