As a Project Manager/Lead Programmer for Transcontinental, I was responsible for many areas of a project to ensure the delivery of the computer-based system(s). General areas of responsibility include data gathering and discovery sessions, systems design and analysis, project resource management, ensuring collaborative communication between team members, supervising programming milestones, reporting task progress and completion, estimating, planning, implementation, and identification of scope creep. • Successfully lead a team of programmers in the development of an online Fulfillment Order Processing Application for our client Academic Management Services who provide student loans. This was a ‘first of its kind’ application for Transcontinental. The application enabled our client to take orders online for the fulfillment of literature to be distributed direct to student and direct to school. The application was written using Java, SQL Server, and Cobol.• Developed and programmed a table-driven Verification System for a long-standing client who was dissatisfied with recent mistakes made by our programming staff. The verification system was automated and provided a mechanism to first review fulfillment that had undergone some change before releasing to production. The solution was presented to the client, they were satisfied, and expressed their wish to have the system rolled out to their other campaigns. • Led teams of programmers in the development of fulfillment applications for multi-million-dollar clients.
