I am an enthusiastic and creative nonprofit, business development and marketing executive with an outstanding track record in developing markets within the complexities of Federal Agencies, Academic Research Institutions, healthcare related foundations, and a variety of service and medical research related entities.I’ve successfully worked within the pharmaceutical, telemedicine, life sciences, and the medical service provider industries developing new vertical markets through strategic partnerships, new service deliveries, and creatively designed relationships. Within my current and previous capacities, I’ve helped increase exposure to MHealth and translational medicine issues within the Executive and legislative branches of the government, and with multiple industry, provider, and nonprofit patient-provider organizations. I’ve managed complex government relations policy issues related to Medicare reimbursement, autism research funding, Veterans Health, and military force readiness. These strategies included garnering congressional and executive branch support, organizing sign-on letter strategies to help add pressure to Medicare on draconian CMS rate cuts for a specialized telemedicine service, testifying on new technologies to the House Veterans Affairs Committee, and supporting an effort that successfully led to the re-authorization of the Combating Autism Bill that supports HHS directed funding for autism related research. For multiple executives I've served as a subject matter expert and consultant on issues related to public policy, federal marketing, and federal appropriations. During my tenure with multiple organizations I've demonstrated significant success in developing lasting new market verticals while significantly increasing revenue. For example, I led the effort at BioStorage for the Million Veterans Program genotyping contract that was the largest single contract in the company’s history in collaboration with Rutgers University RUCDR.
