Day to day duties include research and development for proof of concept projects, improvements in daily practices, documentation (MS Word, HTML5, and man pages), troubleshooting, and mentoring.Developed many shell scripts to automate tasks; including server builds, security standards compliance, troubleshooting, and patching. It was estimated that just two of these efforts (An RPM for fully automated installation and maintenance for VMwareTools, and end-to-end KickStart builds) did the work of about eight people for a year, every year. Afterwards, I had combined those two works into a much larger work; which had reduced the workload by one more person, for a total of nine people for a year, every year; which equates to millions of dollars in savings for each year, and frees up staff for other tasks.One of only four people invited to brainstorm with Red Hat's Cluster developers on improvements and additional features for RHEL7 Clustering.
