Working with the small, but mighty team at the McKenzie Valley Long Term Recovery Group to serve the McKenzie Valley community as it rebuilds after the 2020 Holiday Farm Fire. The McKenzie Valley LTRG partners with local nonprofits and county, state and federal partners to help individuals, families and the community recover from the fire and build resilience for the future.

Working with the Regional Team in Eugene to improve lives for all Oregonians through the power of philanthropy.We work with individuals, families, businesses and organizations to create charitable funds — more than 2,800 of them — that support the community causes they care about. These funds support the critical work that nonprofits are doing across Oregon. Through these funds, OCF awarded more than $118 million in grants and scholarships in 2017.

The School Garden Project is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that helps schools create and sustain gardens where hands-on learning connects students with their environment and local food system. We provide advice in school garden design and construction, recruit and train volunteers to work in gardens, distribute material resources to local schools, and coordinate garden-based education programs that serve more than 1,300 students annually.

Lane County's first Natural Areas Coordinator, building partnerships with natural resource agencies, local governments and nonprofit organizations to help advance regional natural resource conservation efforts. Developing tools to evaluate County park natural areas and guide management objectives and decision-making.

Coordinated the initial development of the first statewide nonprofit support organization for watershed councils in Oregon. Managed all aspects of organizational development, ensured delivery of services to councils, developed communication network and materials, oversaw creation of first statewide website dedicated to watershed councils, communicated with legislators and other policy makers, prepared and submitted grant proposals for program and operational funding, responded to requests for organizational assistance from councils throughout the state, initiated and supported strategic planning process, provided staff support to Board and committees, met all grant requirements, supervised staff and contractors. Established and maintained significant external partnerships with local, state and federal agencies; natural resource industry and conservation organizations; nonprofit organizations; universities; and individuals. Tripled annual organizational budget to approximately $300,000.

Included invasive management; restoration planting; recruitment and coordination of volunteers; design and installation of solar-powered irrigation system; public education activities (tours & workshop); coordination with collaborating organizations; fiscal management.City of Eugene, Hendricks Park Forest Management Plan Coordinator- Coordinated forest restoration activities; recruited and coordinated volunteers; developed educational materials; initiated community outreach (including public speaking); facilitated planning meetings for educational and monitoring programs; coordinated educational and research projects with university students; created media materials; served as liaison to, and organizational advisor for, the Friends of Hendricks Park; coordinated planning and implementation of workshop, Mending Natural Systems in Our Cities.Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board- Planned and facilitated series of watershed council coordinator meetings in conjunction with the OWEB/OACD biennial conference.Long Tom Watershed Council- Provided facilitation and meeting planning services to the council. Coordinated and facilitated action planning process for development of ecological objectives and actions for Amazon Creek.McKenzie River Trust- Provided facilitation and OD services to non-profit land trust to assist in transition from principally voluntary organization to one with multiple paid staff and significant budget.
