My experience very much centres around commercial and procurement management in defence or aerospace. This experience has been gained after spending 24 years within the MOD - mainly in commercial roles but also finance - working on projects for all 3 services and in Design & Development, Production and Support Projects. My final role in MOD was as Senior Commercial Officer within the Abovewater Warfare Systems IPT where I reported to the IPT Team Leader and functionally to the Assistant Director of Contracts. After MOD I spent 5 years within defence industry with BAE and Thales and since 2007 I have worked as an Interim Commercial/Procurement Manager taking on wide ranging roles both in Defence Industry and MOD Agencies. In supplier facing roles have always concentrated on the balance between delivery, quality and savings.Specialties: Terms and Conditions including DEFCONs, good with IPR. Good experience with flowdowns. All manner of large contracts and legal agreements. Supplier facing or Customer facing roles - content with both. Working in Bid Teams.
