Passionate for and proven effective and innovative in advancing the study of economics--and experienced in fundraising, I am available to conduct workshops for teachers in economics and personal finance, write lessons and books, and develop a K-12 economics curriculum. Understanding the economic way of thinking helps students make better choices as employees, employers, consumers, entrepreneurs, and citizen voters. Teaching students economics and personal finance concepts helps them to think more critically and consistently about a wide range of personal economic issues as well as national and international economic and social issues.Advancing the teaching of an economic way of thinking has been my passion throughout my career, and I have accomplished this in multiple ways:*I continue to promote the economic way of thinking and active learning in high school courses around the country.*I championed adding Microeconomics and Macroeconomics to the College Board's Advanced Placement program and served on the developmental task force and later on the Test Development Committee. I promoted AP Economics through teacher workshops and by writing and publishing Advanced Placement Economics for the National Council on Economic Education. *I published over 75 books, articles, and curriculum plans to improve the teaching and learning of K-12 economics and personal finance.*I founded, funded, and developed the programs at the Governors State University Office of Economic Education, which provided a wide range of workshops and credit courses for Chicago area economics and personal finance teachers.*I founded, funded and developed the programs at the Arizona Council on Economic Education, which today reaches over 6000 K-12 teachers and 150,000 students annually.*I developed a comprehensive K-12 curriculum and published 50 books for the NCEE.I would be honored to help improve any economic education curriculum, write lessons, and conduct inservice workshops.
