Transportation Underwriter  Responsible for underwriting new and renewal business for wholesale program, lines of business include commercial transportation liability, physical damage, motor truck cargo, GL and Excess coverage.  Maintain active relationship with established brokers as well as establishing new relationships with recently appointed agents. Review all necessary underwriting information to determine the degree of risk involved and the proper premium for acceptable risks. Accepts risks that meet underwriting standards of various carriers and decline those which do not, within assigned scope of broad underwriting authority.  Market all submissions based on carrier guidelines and submit to appropriate markets while also cross selling additional lines of physical damage, cargo, GL and Excess coverage. Account size ranging from $5,000 - $100,000+ Extensive experience responding to agents and customer inquiries and needs. Endorsements Set up Insured’s file Ordering MVR’s, Safer Reports, Police Reports & Loss Runs Reviewing & Underwriting the account to Quote or Bind  Issuing Quotes, and Binder Assisting Manager with Special Projects
