In addition, he managed a project transitioning in SAP support services from the UK client based team to new offshore team. • A number of transitions included the transfer of UK based staff and required strong relationships to be forged with the HR team to ensure TUPE regulations were adhered to.• Compliance, Security and Fraud teams were key stakeholders, especially when dealing with sensitive data, including payroll data, submissions to HMRC and FCA.• Strong governance was employed across all transitions to report effectively on progress, manage risks/issues and to seek support from senior stakeholders via timely escalations.

• Working onsite at the FSA, re-energised an existing portfolio of IT infrastructure, platform and application change projects, to align to original requirements and deliver through Acceptance Into Service to the Operations team. Applications were built utilising Oracle 11g in a Windows environment. Key projects completed were Smartphone rollout (Blackberry replacement) and Storage As A Service (StaaS)• Supported the development of a new Programme/Project Management framework based on MSP and PRINCE2.• As part of a pre-sales function, supported the production of the first tranche of proposals which was to form part of a new IT Roadmap programme for 15/16.

Over the 10 years, John performed various programme/senior project management roles. The most recent of which are summarised below :-• Managed a portfolio of data cleanse and software change projects within the Data Quality CoE area. (capex budget £3m for 13/14 and £2m for 14/15). Applications were typically built on an Oracle 11g database with Oracle BI as a front end. Developed a testing strategy to ensure software developed via parallel Agile and Waterfall workstreams were fit for purpose.• The largest project, Network As Master, involved managing a group of parallel work packages that aimed to align the network configuration data stored in the Operational Systems Stack with the data installed on the Network components. The initial benefits were aligned to BT’s Finance Sector. Utilising Agile Project Management techniques, the software development (.net & SQL) projects delivered incremental benefits via sprints. A dedicated team, drawn from the sponsoring organisation, development and testing teams joined forces to ensure success.• During Q4 14/15, John led the transition of IT services between offshore suppliers, each deploying approximately 200 FTE. The success of this transition was due to effective stakeholder and supplier management. Services were successfully transitioned from Tech Mahindra to Accenture for the BT Data Quality Centre Of Excellence without any degradation of service over a 4 month timeline. Services included Application Development, Application Testing and Application Support. Oracle DBA maintenance, Oracle BI development, complex report generation, data analysis and data quality improvements delivered by SQL developers.• Contributed to the production of the Business Case via input of cost estimates and proposed benefits.
