Technical lead on run team supporting Siebel and Salesforce in our CRM space. Perform trouble-shooting, incident management, integration support, and performance tuning. Consult with build projects that integrate with these systems.

I performed independent software consulting services. I specialize in Oracle back end development and tuning. I have considerable experience in performing full lifecycle development in a variety of environments. My final consulting engagement at Nationwide before I became an employee was in the Relationship Management Systems area. I supported Salesforce and Siebel CRM systems and integrations between the two. I did a considerable amount of tuning (shaving many hours of processing time out of batch and improving user experience). I also worked on a web application that featured Groovy/Grails and java script. Other current responsibilities included being the primary Nationwide contact for a vendor application and providing general troubleshooting and tuning guidance.My immediate prior Nationwide assignment was in the Enterprise Applications group. I did enhancements to Nationwide's Clarity environment (Crystal Reports, Web Intelligence documents in Business Objects, PL/SQL, Perl). That wrapped up in September 2012.Prior to that I was a technical lead for a Corporate Applications project to upgrade several systems from Oracle 9i to Oracle 11g (completed 2/28/2011).. I managed several releases and environments during the course of that project and tuned some poorly performing components. This was the first project at Nationwide to use Oracle's Real Application Testing.Primary responsibilities at my prior client (AEP) included writing and maintaining energy accounting system software. There was an emphasis throughout on Oracle database (PL/SQL) development (ranging from 7 to 10g). Presentation layer over time included Oracle Forms/Reports, Pro*C, Visual Basic, and C#/ASP.NET. Project roles included developer, architect, and support analyst.

While at ETCI, I did consulting assignments with Aldiscon, Chemical Abstracts Service, AT&T, the City of Columbus, and American Electric Power. Development work involved Pro*C, Oracle Forms, JAVA, Visual Basic, and PL/SQL.

I started out as a staff consultant, involved with creating software that stored and forwarded text short messages (a new concept at the time). This involved several different mobile technologies (TDMA, CDMA, CDPD, TAP, PCS-1900, GSM, IVR, email). Roles with the company evolved into project leadership and management.

I did a consulting engagement at CompuServe. This involved participating in pre-internet projects to handle flight reservations and a shop-at-home service (dubbed the "Online Mall"). This involved using a proprietary database, a 36 bit C environment, and proprietary graphical user interface.

I performed full lifecycle development. Platforms included Basic Assembly Language on an IBM mainframe, C on a mainframe, and C in a Unix environment. This eventually included X-Windows and Oracle (Pro*C).
