As National Account Manager I have worked with over 95 retail stores and 8 wholesalers in the book industry, all based in the northeast/Metro NYC area. Account base includes New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, and I have also represented Simon & Schuster to stores on Long Island and in Brooklyn. Responsibilities include seasonal selling, report writing, cooperative advertising management, sales presentations, inventory management, and all other projects typical for field sales representatives.

My supervisor left S&S in the spring of '07 whereupon I applied for his position, and got it in August of that year. In a company-wide restructuring, I was returned to the field as a National Account Manager in April of '09. As Sales Director, I oversaw the territories of 6 field sales people, from Maine to Virginia, managed sales meetings, provided sales projections, planned training tutorials, and otherwise worked with my Sales Director colleagues in all facets of general administration.

I was recruited by National Book Network to be an in-house sales representative, managing all key accounts in New England. This included all normal activities - seasonal selling, increasing NBN's visibility in the general trade bookstore market, as well as working with key wholesalers. Intermittenly, I also worked with national account customers, including Crown Bookstores based in the DC area, as well as selling to Books A Million in Birmingham, AL.
