Developing and implementing public policy advocacy and corporate campaigns that seek to promote Trustworthy AI and Open Internet in East and Southern Africa.Key areas of work: Privacy & AI, Trustworthy & Open AI, Information Disorder, Consumer Choice, Election Integrity, Big Tech Accountability and Open Source.

Research, policy and advocacy in Eastern Africa. My research areas were on election integrity and tech accountability. I also hosted the Nairobi, Kampala and Dar Es Salam Tech Policy Circles.

Led Article 19's regional Civic Space and Digital Rights Programmes interventions in Eastern Africa. This included; engagement with national, regional & international Human Rights Mechanisms, working with human rights defenders, media, minority and marginalized groups and grassroot organisations to shape their civic and media spaces both online and offline. Also worked on the intersection of law, human rights and tech.Additionally, I coordinated fundraising at the Eastern Africa regional office.

Led the setting up of Justice Defender's Legal Aid Program in Kenya including development of paralegal training manual, training of prison based paralegals, establishment of 12 legal aid clinics, provision of legal aid, recruitment and management of Program Officers, stakeholders engagement, fundraising and legal & policy interventions.I also supported the setting up of the Legal Aid program in Uganda.

In partnership with HIVOS East Africa and NYARWEK set up the Utunzi Rainbow Security Network and coordinated security and legal aid response mechanism in collaboration with NGLHRC partners.
