I was responsible for all activities of the Allentown Parking Authority, including providing customer service to the City’s 130,000 plus residents and parking enforcement of 18.5 square miles of streets. This also includes planning, directing and controlling the Authorities on-street 1,500 meters and pay stations and off-street public parking programs and facilities (8 garages & 29 surface lots), including parking meter and garage fee collection, PPL event parking, permits, maintenance activities, contracts and capital improvement programs. The complete 14 plus million dollars financial budgeting and managing a staff of 83 at 3 different locations. The position interfaces frequently with public officials, local, county, state, federal agencies, and other public/private organizations.

I have been appointed to the board by the Mayors of both Scotch Plains and Westfield, New Jersey for the last seven years and have represented them individually over the last 20 years. I have lobbied for road projects, traffic calming projects, as well as pedestrian safety issues.

This also includes planning, directing and controlling the City’s on-street 380 paystations and off-street public parking programs and facilities (5 garages & 3 surface lots), including parking enforcement, parking meter and garage fee collection, permits, maintenance activities, contracts and capital improvement programs, Transportation planning, oversight of the navigable water of the Weehawken Cove and the Hudson River, Hoboken taxis and limousines licensing, the corner car rental program, the jitney service (The HOP), Management and Maintenance of the cities vehicle fleet, Management of the cities bicycle infrastructure including the bike share program, pedestrian improvements, sidewalk and street opening permitting and inspection, issuing of dumpster permitting. The complete 18 plus million dollar financial budgeting, and managing a staff of 100 plus at 8 different locations. The position interfaces frequently with public officials, local, county, state, federal agencies, and other public/private organizations, and the general public.
