Recruited to join the company when Corning purchased GTE Products, Protection Products Division. Tasked with organizing and managing the electromechanical and production engineering of electrical surge protection devices. Hire, train, supervise, and motivate a staff of ten. Interact with customers to identify needs and product concerns. Develop and deliver internal and external corporate level presentations. Awarded 1994 inventor of the year and 1999, 2004 innovation of the year. Recieved stock option rewards for productivity.

Recruited to start up a lightning surge protection business unit. Developed complete product line of protection products. Created the manufacturing process specification and assembly stations to take the products to market. Promoted to Operations Manager and tasked with managing all functions of the surge protection business unit. Increased annual revenue from $0 to $ 45M in ten years. Earned GTE Warner Awards in 1986 and 1990. IEEE award 1986 for outstanding achievement through standards. Awarded one year pay bonus for successful sale of protection business to Corning.

Hired to create and Electrical Engineering Test Laboratory and production test equipment for lightning protection devices. Hired and supervised a team of 8 designers and technicians. Frequently interacted with customers to assess needs and recommend solutions. Developed and delivered presentations to corporate officers. Created and patented several protection products . Helped open a new facility in Puerto Rico and ensure its production efficiency. Assisted in increasing sales from $5M to$30M. Received stock option rewards for performance.
