Athens Distributing Company is a privately held Wine and Spirits wholesale distributor across all of Tennessee with offices in Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga, and Memphis.I joined Athens Distribution with the mission of developing the statewide go-to-market strategy and a new division serving the company's national retail accounts following the passage of the state's transformative WIGS legislation. I oversee the P&L and a Sales, Category, and Pricing staff of 32 driving growth and building mindshare for our suppliers' brands, and I am responsible for leading strategic planning, forecasting, business reviews, programming, promotions, supplier and customer relations, as well as for overseeing logistics and service on a dotted-line basis.Since joining the organization, I helped position the company for the market shift by building the strategic roadmap and operating model, recruiting the team and our suppliers, and aligning the company around our unified service vision as a key member of the executive leadership team. We were successful in positioning Athens Distributing as a strategic supplier to 550 Kroger, Walmart, Publix, Costco, Whole Foods, Sam’s Club, Food City, and other retail locations; cultivating a winning product portfolio as the trusted distributor partner to The Wine Group, Delicato Family Vineyards, Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits, Constellation Brands, Palm Bay International, and WX Brands; and building a high performing team delivering a culture of service and engagement. We were named the recipient of WX Brands' Distributor of the Year Award for outstanding execution, and the delivery of superior results.

Bacardi Limited is the largest privately held, family-owned spirits company in the world. Originally known for its eponymous Bacardi rum, it now has a portfolio of more than 200 brands and labels.I joined the organization as a National Account Manager & Team Lead for the Walmart and Sam's Club accounts, and was promoted in 2010 to the company's first Director of National Accounts within the retail channel. In this capacity, I managed the business-to-business client strategy and relationships as the dedicated partner and account P&L owner for the nation’s largest retailer (Walmart / Sam’s Club) and for major retail drugstore chains. As Director, I built a new organization and opened the Bentonville, AR office serving these critical accounts, directed the brand portfolio strategy, field and trade marketing, account management, business planning, programming, communications, category management, and consumer insights functions, and oversaw a team of four National Account Managers and two Category Development Managers.Throughout my time with Bacardi, I consistently grew gross sales and delivered 2.6X growth on the Walmart / Sam’s Club account, with double digit growth in multiple categories. My team and I achieved 200% growth for the flagship Bacardi and Grey Goose brands, outpacing our key competitors and setting the single-customer sales record for Martini & Rossi at 20,000 cases annually. My role was elevated and expanded to turn around the drugstore channel where I partnered with Walgreens and other accounts to build these into winning accounts. In addition, I developed and promoted three of team members to senior leadership roles of increased responsibility across the organization.

The Coca-Cola Company, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is a $41 billion American global beverage corporation, and manufacturer, retailer, and marketer of consumer beverages and related products.I joined the organization in a Sales & Merchandising Manager role, and was promoted through successive leadership positions of increasing responsibility in San Antonio, TX and Memphis, TN, ultimately serving as Sales Manager for the Large Chain Grocery Channel. In that capacity, I managed the P&L strategy and day-to-day operations for Walmart, Schnuks, Sav-A-Lot, Target, and other major retail accounts. Some of my notable achievements with Coca-Cola include being awarded the company's President's Club Award for outstanding Large Chain Channel sales and account performance; exceeding targets for three consecutive years within the Cold Drink Channel; securing placement of a new "Fast Lane: merchandising program across all region Walgreens; and being selected by Coca-Cola executive leadership as one of 25 employees companywide to participate in the highly competitive corporate high potential professional development program.
