Last position (QSHE Advisor) Interserve FM. Commencement date 08-10-2010 contract finished 30-April-2011Location Food Environmental & Research Agency (Fera Sand Hutton, York).Duties include but not limited to:- Setting up system for the control of contractors.Co-ordinating and auditing the ISO14000 Environmental Management System prior to the LARQ audit in January.Training both H & S and Environmental, this is mainly in the form of toolbox talks, site inductions and one on one discussions.Co-ordination of the first aid training and the overall first aid system which has now fallen to Interserve to manage.Visiting various locations (under the contract we were responsible for 196 sites) advising managers and staff of the way to be compliant with legislation, undertaking audits to identify areas of weakness and then working with managers and staff to compile action plans to remedy any deficiencies.I was involved in compliance auditing including laboratories, mobilization reorganization, inductions including auditing for ISO1400. Part of my remit was to carry out Duty of Care Audits on Waste Transfer Sites around the country including radioactive waste and other hazardous substances.

Duties included but not limited to:- As the Gas Quality Inspector I was responsible for gas quality assurance inspections on over 30 000 Liverpool City Council properties I was subsequently promoted to North West Regional Health and Safety Manager and my duties included responsibility for health and safety on 5 sites including 2 Private Finance Initiative (PFI) schemes covering 9 separate schools and 2 Health and Safety Executive (HSE) laboratory sites in Buxton and Sheffield. I was seconded to Eli Lilly where my job was to set up a management system for the control of health and safety for over 200 firms of contractors on this large pharmaceutical plant. The plant operates a Global incident management system and I have been trained in the company root cause analysis system, which enabled me to access it and conduct investigations. A large part of my time was allocated to the investigation of all accidents and incidents relating to contractors.• Daily inspections of all activities including CDM projects• On and off site audits of all service contractors• Responsible for all risk and cosh assessments• Delivered allergen awareness training, face fit testing and conducted toolbox talks on all aspects of health and safety• Carried out Duty of Care audits on all contractors removing waste from the site
