Main tasks include programming microcontrollers, designing/revising schematic and PCB design. Product development engineers are also in charge of hardware and firmware evaluation as well as debugging.Designs multi-layer PCB layout that complies with standards and follow PCB design rules for better noise immunity (EMC) of the products.In-charge with programming of testers used for in-process inspection of electronic counters and other products with microcontrollers (i.e. Atmega, Atxmega, PIC).Responsible in conducting technical investigation on defective products and repairs.Identify feasibility, manufacturability and other possible constraints of the product development.Conducts firmware and hardware tests and evaluations such as debugging, life and thermal tests, and electromagnetic compatibility tests (i.e. Electric fast transient/burst, Impulse noise, Radiated noise, and Electrostatic Discharge).Creates and performs product test plan, component failure analysis, and safety integrity level determination (IEC 62061).Provides technical reports on evaluations performed and ensures that all necessary corrective actions are implemented and documented.
