Project was initiated in 2021 to Design, build, test, implement and operationalise a new Dell EMC ReadyStack hosting platform to support legacy applications, operating systems and databases which are unable to be run on existing cloud solutions. (Public or Private Clouds including Google Cloud and Microsoft’s Azure or Private Clouds). These legacy applications were then migrated or transitioned to the new services established to support the exit from the Data Centre. During the transition to the platform several key applications for demand and replenishment pivoted to new build in Azure directly to eliminate technical debt in the coming years saving millions of dollars and increasing performance

Migration and Transformation from unsupported legacy platforms to the supported platform (over 6,500 OS devices in 18 months)

Recruited by Westpac Agilus Infrastructure Transformation Program, with the objective of providing security and Identity services to a ‘one-bank’ Cloud technology infrastructure model by delivering and transforming the Westpac environment for Hybrid Cloud Service (HCS), and the transformation of Workplace Services. This program was initiated in 2016 providing two Agile streams to provide the Identity and Security Services for mobile and cloud first approach, for the next generation customer and employee experience that allows employees to use any device, anywhere, anytime with a global Westpac user directory. This included the operational efficiency utilising an enterprise platform that enhances automation driving agility and multiband supported by common process, operations, and technology

Complex Infrastructure and Storage Transformations and Migrations. recruited by Transport NGIS DC Migration team, to work on Complex and SAN data migrations, across several privately owned Data Centres. These projects were to facilitate the closures of multiple locations whilst implementing new Infrastructure and migration tools. These projects included the migration of existing high-profile legacy infrastructure and Data flows and highly sensitive applications for Business, Partners, and regulatory authorities, with commercially sensitive deadlines

Westpac IMTP Network and Security Transformation team, to work on several significant projects across several Data Centres. These projects were to facilitate the closures of two locations whilst implementing new Network Infrastructure. These projects included the migration and in cases transformation of existing legacy Network flows and highly sensitive applications for Business, Partners and regulatory agencies, with commercially sensitive deadlines

Implementation of new SAN Disk and Fabric and the migration of all infrastructure and servers to the new Fabric and SANProvide additional disks storage infrastructure (DS8300, DS5300, SVC nodes and FOBOTs) in Westpac data centres to cater for future requirementsMigrate existing applications servers and storage device fibre connections to the IBM 768B SAN switches; this required over 17km of new Fibre cabling for 1382connectionsand 6,500 PIV activities.Migrate the existing Storage disk subsystems, SVC and management infrastructure to the SAN768b directors; this required over 23km of new Fibre cabling New VMAX (EMC) SAN and Cisco Fabric switch Implementation secondary storage tier was in RED and I was assigned at the request of the CIO. Recommendation to progress and rebuild the relationship commenced. Delivery completed within 6 Weeks
