Assistant Manager of the Bookkeeping Department• Oversee co-workers for the timely completion of financial statements, sales tax, and payroll taxes • Communicate with office manager and bookkeeping manager regarding client accounts• Responsible for training new employees in bookkeeping and payroll procedures Bookkeeper / Payroll Processor• Process monthly financial statements and bank reconciliations for approximately 90 clients• Process payrolls for approximately 70 clients• Calculate and process monthly sales tax for clients• Calculate and process federal, state, and local payroll deductions/payments • Calculate and process quarterly tax and payroll reports• Meet federal, state, and local tax deadlines• Communicate with clients regarding their account and tax issues
