John Norris Email and Phone Number
Personal BackgroundI grew up in a military family. My Grandfather served during World War II as a pilot in the United States Air Force, my Father served in the United States Navy, and I served and fought in Desert Storm in the United States Army. Through my family life, and later on my military life, I learned respect and discipline. I learned that the one thing you always have in this world is your word. Once that means nothing, it’s hard to get it back.I spent four years in the military, with one of them being in Iraq. I was in a Reconnaissance Unit with the 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment. I took lives, but I also lost friends and bled for my country. I had two Bradley vehicles shot up from under me, took shrapnel, but learned to Adapt and Overcome no matter what the situation. The one thing that you can never make people understand is the feeling of being in formation, in front of a pair of boots and a rifle stuck in the ground, in a country far from home, and the roll call of friends that wouldn’t be coming back home read out loud. This, I learned what the words Honor, Courage, and Loyalty really meant. These are the words I live my life and my work ethic by.Professional BackgroundI have a background in Long Term Pharmacy of 14 years. I worked in the Wound Care Claims department, and for the last 11 years, moved up into the role of providing important Customer Service to customers, while providing important Customer Retention for the company. For the last 2 years, I have moved into the position of Account Executive Manager, which has expanded my role over the accounts from everything to renegotiation of contracts to keeping the customers for life. This has expanded my knowledge of all aspects of the pharmacy business.

Account Executive ManagerOmnicare Pharmacy Feb 2009 - Oct 2014Fort Worth, TexasIn February 2012, I was asked to join a new break out team, the Account Executive Management Team. With this new responsibility, I would now be completely responsible for the nursing homes assigned to me. I would have to learn all aspects of the pharmacy, from billing to contract renegotiation. I created Executive Reviews, which was a quarterly review of the nursing home’s cost, drug utilization, amount of deliveries, and cost savings. My new job expanded my role to not just the relationships at the nursing home level, but also the Regional and Corporate levels within the nursing home’s organization. Being able to problem solve quicker and more efficiently was the new norm. I owned each account, so I couldn’t make a mistake and lose the account. In 2009, I was asked to come back to Omnicare, taking back the role of Customer Service / Customer Retention Field Representative for the pharmacy. I was responsible for training the nursing staff on pharmacy policy and procedures. I had to think on my feet on resolving issues and keeping the flow of information between my bosses and my customers open.My job was to make sure the customers wanted to stay with Omnicare, and I did that by never leaving an issue on the table before the end of the day.
