After 25 years in the world of IT working for some the largest global brands, it was time for a complete change hence JRN Properties specialising in the restoration and conversion of mainly listed Cotswold Stone buildings! I live and work in Maugersbury, (a small hamlet near the town on Stow on the Wold) Early projects included the restoration of three large listed 17th-century farmhouses and four further barn conversions. In 2017-18 with very little left in the Village to convert we moved to Churchill, West Oxfordshire to convert a very large redundant steam milling barn into six homes using CLT from Austria for most of the structural elements. Next project is 6 conversions out of some fine stone buildings on the edge of Chipping Norton starting in 2021. In between the development projects the company helps clients with planning applications for various residential projects.

After Oracle purchase of Sun Microsystems, I managed a small portfolio of large accounts through the sometimes complex and difficult transition from Sun Microsystems global account management strategy to a centralised Oracle process of managing large accounts. After seven months, much of the Sun organisation I had known for over 16 years was gone, so it was time for me to leave and do something completely different!

Managing some of the largest UK based global businesses, Ford Europe for five years growing revenues from $5 million to over $50 million in five years, Virgin group, BAA, British Airways, EDF energy and British nuclear energy, Tesco's, Kingfisher group. Exceeded sales targets every year with regular additional recognition.
