I joined AMAL Trustees Pty Ltd as Head of Fund Services on 1 April 2021 looking after their Wholesale Fund Trustee and Wholesale Note Issuer/Security Trustee services which also includes providing Escrow, Authorised Intermediary and Corporate Authorised Representative services. Previously I was at Perpetual Ltd following their takeover of The Trust Company Ltd in December 2013 where I was the Senior Manager Corporate Clients New Business in the Wholesale Trust team. This predominantly involved dealing with new clients in settling fee arrangements, setting up their unit trust structures and negotiating all documents and purchasing the initial assets. Most of this new business was offshore investors setting up Managed Investment Trusts (MIT's) to purchase local property or infrastructure assets. Prior to the takeover I had 11 years at The Trust Company working in the Responsible Entity and Wholesale Trustee area dealing with all new clients in negotiating scheme and trust establishment documents and setting up the registered retail or wholesale trust including reviewing PDS's, ASIC registration documentation, ASX Listing Rule obligations, borrowing facilities, swap arrangements, asset purchases etc.
