This locum post involved completing a needs assessment for respite care in children, exploratory work around the integrated resource framework with colleagues in planning and local authorities, and development work around abdominal aortic aneurysm screening.

John was awarded a training fellowship by NES and Glasgow University. During this time he worked as a GP, completed a masters and trained as a cognitive therapist. His masters thesis explored GP decision-making and risk management around anticoaguation in patients with atrial fibrillation.
