John graduated from Gonzaga University and from the University of California Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco. Subsequent to service in the armed forces as a Military Police officer, he returned to the Portland area and after a stint with the Clackamas County District Attorney’s Office entered private practice. His primary areas of interest are Personal Injury Litigation, Family Law, Probate and General Civil Litigation. In his 40 plus years as a lawyer, John has nurtured a love of the law and a keen sense of justice. And he has learned to deal with these cases both efficiently and effectively. As the head of Warren Allen’s Personal Injury and Wrongful Death department, Mr. O’Hara represents injured parties and their families in claims against insurance companies and helps those harmed by medical and legal negligence. Clients injured and damaged in accidents and by professional negligence should be more aware that insurance companies have many talented and experienced lawyers at their disposal. The injured and damaged party is usually out of his or her depth in dealing with insurers. John levels the playing field for these folks. Outside of his law practice, Mr. O’Hara is active in civic, church, and community commerce groups. Mr. O’Hara also enjoys maintaining his old cars, playing guitar, and spending time with his four children and wife of over 45 years.
