It’s not what I know about excel, it’s what I achieve with excel. I believe my work in excel and data management has had major impact within the activities of the companies and greatly strengthening the credibility with our funders.I have worked in a variety of companies and have a broad spectrum of experience in accounts preparation including Management Accounting VAT return, PAYE I am experienced in using Sage Line 50, line 100, line 200, Opera and XRL,Quick books, Microsoft Word and highly advanced level in excel and data management.Diverse use of my advanced excel skills allowed me to design product catalogs for stocktaking including produce image, product code and barcode arranged logically on catalogue pages. All managed from an excel list. Management accounts from trial balance with minimal work being required to split into monthly accounts per shop, region and sales area. Quickly adjusting for new cost centre, departments or nominal codes. And using control values to validate the splits. All managed within excel from an XRL or ODBC report. Redesign of timesheets. Storing them in teams for shared use. Managing access. Each timesheet had many features to avoid and highlight errors, validating entries for names dates times etc and preprocessing and organising within each sheet so that the data could be later collected by power query. Custom formatting formulas to highlight missing or wrong lunchtimes. Formula for checking hours claimed from the time entries.The power query I designed collects data from 140 timesheets used by a team of over 50 people.I designed a report to refresh the data and find errors to report to the team for resolving. Errors including highlighting when a person has recorded entry’s in various sheets that put them in more than one place at a given time.All managed by power query and combining queries with the append function.My accounts knowledge, data management skills and excel skills combine to strengthen my skills in validating all elements of accounts and management. I believe that the strength of my skills set is tending towards unique within Northern Ireland.
