The journey

Leading a cross functional EPC team of 20-25 engineers, designers, construction managers, and fabricators to deliver ~$6MM of electrical, instrumentation, and automation for a major capital project in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico.

♦ I work with project managers for timely delivery of standard instrumentation deliverables (valve sizing, flow instrument calcs, datasheets, installation details, wiring diagrams, tubing shedules, cable scheules, location plans, etc)♦ I interface with electrical engineering to develop control schemes for low voltage and medium voltage drivers.♦ I work with process engineers to develop PFDs, P&IDs, Cause and Effects, Control Narratives♦ I provide training, technical support, and design guidelines for less experienced engineers and designers, and client field technicians.♦ I am the discipline lead engineer on instrumentation and control projects♦ Commissioning♦ I assist other instrument and automation engineers with developing cause and effect charts and interpreting client design specifications.♦ I interface with 3rd party control panel vendors and programmers to ensure proper control panel design and operation.♦ I provide detailed engineering checking for colleagues' I&C design packages
