I developed weld schedules and techniques, performed parameter certifications, wrote CNC programs, reviewed/wrote part specific process planning, provided input to hardware weld joint design and approval of tooling, trained operators and engineers, dispositioned non-conforming items, input to Material Review Board, addressed producibility issues, maintained and revised relevant procedures and specifications, provided oversight of daily welding activities. In addition to in-house activities, I had sole responsibility for all electron beam welding activities at various suppliers and welding houses.The bulk of my EBW experience has involved the use of various Sciaky EB welding equipment. This includes a recently acquired (2009) Sciaky machine with the latest W-2000 controls and 60-60 gun technology. I performed all equipment check-outs, machine certification, welding parameter development/certification and implementation to production operations.I also have considerable experience with older, high voltage type, Hamilton Standard (PTR) welding machines.
