For over 30 years John has held senior management positions in Private and Investment Banking, Portfolio Management, M&A Consulting and Venture Capital. For the past 15 years he was the CEO and managing partner of his own early stage VC fund, Intermarkt LLC. His business consulting clients have included American Express, Wells Fargo, Dunn and Bradstreet and Ford Motor Company. He has served on various corporate boards and has extensive non-profit management experience, having served both as both chair and board member of several U.N.NGO’s.John has participated as a speaker/facilitator at the Harvard and Wharton Business Schools, Yale University, the University of Southern California, UCLA, Google, Microsoft, Intel, Amazon and Cisco, HSBC Bank Canada,The Canadian Federal Government, The United Nations,The World Health Organization,The World Bank and the U.S. Congress. He has been a featured speaker as well at the Toronto Stock Exchange, The Aspen Institute and the Aspen Brain Forum. A senior faculty member at the Art of Living Foundation and a meditation instructor for over 40 years, he is a coach and trainer in the Healing Breaths program, a health and resilience program for physicians and medical professionals, and for the past 15 years has developed and taught at Project Welcome Home Troops, a mental and physical wellness program for returning Iraqi and Afghan Combat Vets challenged by post traumatic stress, moral injury and combat related trauma.
