International Centre for Research in Agroforestry is an international R&D organization working towards transforming peoples lives with trees across the globe. I mange their Field office in Arua north West of Uganda and we are working on a refugee landscape of Rhino and Imvepi settlement camps restoring degraded forest landscape through wrapping schools and other institution in trees

I worked as Forest Supervisor with National Forestry Authority of Uganda. its an autonomous body mandated by an act of parliament to manage all the 506 central forest reserves in the country. My major role was to protect and restore degraded areas. I managed to form one collaborative forest management CFM in Atigo Central Forest Reserve located in Kaberamaido district in Eastern Uganda and manned illegal extraction of forest produce especially endangered species like Afzelia in Otze Beat CFRs in Moyo district West Nile rgion of Uganda

• Marketed the company products and services locally, nationally, and internationally through social media and attending conferences (Global Landscape Forum)• Built a strong team of self-motivated staff with integrity• Increased company production capacity from 100,000 seedlings to 200,000 seedlings annually in just a period of one year• Initiated creative ideas in nursery management to diversify the company’s cash inflow like the establishment of greenhouse farming and improving stove construction• Effectively supervised a team of five permanent staff and ten casual workers• Conducted staff’s annual performance evaluation/appraisal based on Key Performance Indicators (KPI)• Represented the company in three District Natural Resources Management Committee stakeholders’ meetings and participated in one Global Landscape Forum conference in Nairobi, in 2018• Headed company’s corporate social responsibility department for one year and during my tenure, the company supported five schools, ten churches and three town councils with 10,000 assorted seedlings• Prepared monthly and annual operation work plans and annual financial reports• Secured supply of 30,000 pine seedlings for NUSAF III in Kakure sub-county, Kalaki District Financial Year 2019/2020

Founded Arise Forestry Enterprises and registered it as a sole proprietorship business with Uganda Registration Services Bureau in 2018. We then immediately started with raising tree seedlings to be sold to communities facing tree resources crises of fuelwood, poles, timber, herbal medicine and fruits among others. The focus was this community in Alwa sub county in kaberamaido district located in North eastern part of Uganda who host Atigo CFR one of the biggest reserves in the district covering 938 hectares of savannah woodland which has been completely degraded which prompted NFA to lease it to private tree planters for restoration. Later we discovered communities problem was not only access to tree seedlings but also planting and other silvicultural skills. Immediately i recruited two more trained young foresters to support my filed work and manage tree nursery as i concentrate on resources mobilization and marketing. To date Arise Forestry Enterprises employees 7 skilled and unskilled personnel on regular basis and more 13 unskilled personnel on irregular basis. Worked with Lutheran World Federation an international NGO, a humanitarian and development agency as Project Assistant implementing Energy and Environment project in Northern Uganda specifically East Acholi Sub region. We managed to established 2971 hectares, constructed 20000 energy saving cook stoves and installed 35000 PV solar units

Worked for Nile Ply Woods (U) Ltd as Forest Supervisor, a forest company based in Uganda. They deal in forest plantation development and wood processing. My center of work was plantation development and protection where i managed to established 150 hectares of well managed forest while with them
