Current role is Digital Content Specialist at Hach (contract).Historically, I have been like the man in 'Caps For Sale' - in the past one of my favorite books to read to my students. My eagerness to connect with new people around the world and learn new skills in different sectors has led me to add many arrows to my quiver and put on many hats, including teaching English Language Learners, sculpting, making pottery, kiln-building, tutoring, teacher training, creative writing, copy writing, web-design, customer relations, social media, logo design, new spoken languages, new coding languages, leadership skills, etc... More recently - as a response to our changing world - I have decided to commit my time and energy to the 'new economy' and the world of digital communications. In lock-step with this goal I am thrilled to join the Digital Growth Team at Danaher as a temp-to-hire, working on digital content creation and content management. This new step in my career makes a lot of sense because I have been acquiring the skills to be effective in this industry for the last five years. I've learned HTML, CSS, WordPress, Photoshop, and InDesign, to name a few new skills. But perhaps the part of my profile that best positions me to be a valuable addition to a company like Danaher is my broad experience of diverse thoughts, perspectives, languages and peoples in this world. As we all grapple with how to continue with the grand project of globalization, I strive to bring to the table a prerogative that understanding and celebrating diversity is the key to helpfulness, and helpfulness in collaboration is the key to success.
