Director Of Health Policy & Analysis
In a critical leadership capacity, I spearheaded disease prevention and control, vessel sanitation compliance, public health policies and procedures, medical guidelines, audit compliance, internal auditing and inspections, public health communication, public health training programs, protocols and standards for food safety, potable water, recreational water facilities, integrated pest management, indoor air quality, and illnesses of public health concern across 100+ cruise ships employing 120K+ personnel and carrying 12M+ passengers annually. This involved shaping the corporate vision and strategy and building the public health and medical policy department from the ground up. By creating synergy across brands, I effectively centralized medical and public health policies and procedures across 9 cruise lines. I oversaw the collaborative work of 3 corporate working groups (medical, public health, electronic health records) focused on specific complex initiatives to harmonize global policy and regulatory standards. Key contributions: ★ Navigated Covid-19 by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to align procedures with public health guidelines, exceeding regulatory requirements★ Led the Covid-19 response in partnership with the CDC and global industry leaders ★ Revolutionized the health record system, transitioning to the company’s first electronic health record system to manage the health and wellness of ~12M passengers and 120K crewmembers annually ★ Steered the inaugural electronic health record systems working group in collaboration with 6 CIOs★ Partnered closely with the Global Port & Destination Development Group to build health, environmental, and safety teams across 5 land-based cruise facilities ★ Addressed issues of potential public health concern to reopen the Grand Turk Cruise Center following a shutdown
