Over 25 years of IT industry experience, specializing in commercial banking: Payments, Cash Management and Investment Management. A co-founding equity partner of SRG Software. As VP Development & Consulting, provided leadership through five years of explosive growth during which time the company was listed in 28th place on Profit Magazine’s Profit 100 list, and received Microsoft’s Partner of the year award. SRG Software was acquired by the public company Financial Models Inc in 1999. As VP Development at FMC, led the Software development and QA teams, overseeing 90+ people, helping transform the company’s legacy product suite to a newer Technology platform. In 2000, joined the newly formed start-up company CertaPay as VP Technology, and assembled the Development and QA teams that built Canada’s first Person-to-Person real-time e-mail money transfer system. CertaPay was acquired in 2002 by the Interac consortium of banks: RBC, TD, CIBC, BMO and Scotiabank. The solution was then re-branded as Interac email money transfer, and continues to operate successfully today as part of the standard Retail and Commercial Online banking products’ at all major Canadian banks and Credit Unions. In 2010 the solution was extended to the Mobile platform as part of the Interac e-transfer service.From 2006 to 2009, with FinMT Solutions, acted as the lead consultant and project manager at HSBC Bank Canada for the Global Billing initiative. The Global Billing Project involved the implementation and roll out of a new payments and cash management customer billing system to approximately 8,000 mid-market and large corporate Commercial Banking customers.
