Lead Saga Health, Inc. to assist clients to save on costs of health services and pharmacy technologies

As VP of Product Management I am subject matter expert on Wellpartner’s products and am responsible for leading innovation, business development, client and sales engagement, and building and guiding strategic efforts for Wellpartner’s product roadmap. I’ve guided two core products to market, including pricing, positioning, and marketing while assisting with client issues and national face to face program meetings. Key accomplishments: • Lead effort to set corporate policy on 2015 340B “mega guidance” and identify product changes required under the proposed federal guidance;• Developed and lead 2015 organizational product optimization strategy and planning including product branding, bundled product offering, and sales training. • Drafted redesign of key Internet website materials including analysis of Managed Medicaid law and 340B;• Identified key development fix in pharmacy unique claim database functionality to increase program integrity and revenue generation;• Developed methodology and product requirement documentation for implementation of Wellpartner’s AccessConvergenceTM product roll-out.

I led several teams at American Health Care with progressive levels of responsibility. These included managing: 1) a staff of ten analysts to maintain continuous functionality of American Health Care’s PBM and 340B operations; and 2) A staff of 4 pharmacy relations managers. My duties included data analytics; managing wholesaler inventory orders; serving as the senior liaison with vendors and business partners; providing business leadership on development of the 340B system; serving as a subject matter expert for business opportunities; developing PBM Maximum Allowable Cost (MAC) lists; monitoring contract performance; analyzing pharmacy and medical information to assess trends, profitability, and revenue opportunities; and managing rebate operations.Key Accomplishments:• Grew 340B contract pharmacy network to include over 50 new independent pharmacies and 100 chain pharmacies;• Initiated and lead pharmacy negotiations to gain access to retail wholesale account information to build and maintain AHC’s pharmacy MAC price list that is targeted to lower pharmacy discounts 10% over 2 years-time while ensuring pharmacies are paid above wholesale cost;• Created a consolidated pharmacy chain replenishment tracking and ordering system that decreased the time between pharmacy collections from several months to thirty day collections; • Designed a 340B and GPO pricing and savings calculator to assess viability of sales prospects;• Lead business development efforts for rebate operations that increased organization income by $4,000,000 annually from 2010 to 2014;• Designed 340B reports and statistical metrics for American Health Care’s web reporting portal

I managed a staff of four financial analysts to oversee a $40,000,000 grant expenditure budget, assisted in negotiations of over 25 multi-million dollar government contract budgets with public and private non-profit agencies, and drafted a long-term sustainability plan. I created quarterly financial tracking reports on the department operational budget for the County Administrator; reviewed RFP responses and gave recommendations on grantor funding to the Executive Director; issued Requests for Qualifications; and analyzed and reported on regulatory proposals that could have affected First 5. I developed dozens of office policies such as a sole source contracting policy; and wrote letters for government signatures by the County Administrator or Board of Supervisors.Key Accomplishments: Created 10 year strategic spending plan for program grants; Crated internal automated fund tracking report using Access and Excel that automatically adjusted reports and budget to eliminate manual data entry.

I wrote over 50 legal briefs, motions, and memoranda in connection with workers compensation, medical malpractice, and other civil litigation cases. I researched dozens of regulations and civil cases, and wrote over 25 legal briefs for senior attorneys. I coordinated over 50 commercial and residential real estate transactions, including performing title searching services, by working with clients, lenders, and state and local government agencies.

As a law clerk at CIGNA Corporation, I provided support to the Assistant General Counsel and Business Litigation Department. I prepared over 100 litigation, financial, and regulatory reports for senior attorneys and served as a liaison between corporate departments and outside counsel. I directly handled disputes involving up to $50,000 and made recommendations to the Assistant General Counsel on dispute resolution. I wrote over 30 executive reports on a wide range of legal issues from contract compliance, to ERISA and HIPAA developments, to state mental behavioral health regulations.

I used Business Intelligence software to create a wide array of health utilization and financial reports. I quality checked electronic benefit plan software development and was the project implementation manager responsible for collecting health care compliance data from Aetna network hospitals as part of the 1998 federal quality care review (NCQA) measurement effort.Key Accomplishments: Successfully supervised 1998 NCQA hospital accreditation project; Created over a dozen health utilization and analytic reports using data mining and electronic health record technologies.
