As Co-Founder, Vice President and eventually CEO, worked with extraordinary colleagues as Smartronix grew from $0 to approximately $650M in annual revenue and more than $3B in cumulative earnings over 24.5 years. Smartronix history includes architecting, managing and modernizing the worldwide Marine Corps Enterprise Network; developing products that provide tactical close air support critical communications; architecting and managing the Recovery.gov ecosystem (first Government site launched in a public cloud) which tracked nearly $800B of stimulus spending and the PandemicOversight.gov ecosystem to track $2.6T of CARES Act funding; developing ruggedized electronics for the Mars Rover program; developing world-class aerospace system solutions for telemetry receiving, processing, recording, archiving, and data mining for Government and industry clients on six continents; performing counter-terrorism and counter-narcotic ISR support services on five continents; being one of a few companies to achieve global premier partnership with AWS, Microsoft and Google; and being named a 3-time leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Public Cloud Infrastructure Professional and Managed Services, Worldwide. In 2019, led the company through its recapitalization, which occurred in late December by OceanSound Partners. Continued as CEO through its transition to new leadership in June 2020.

Worked various CONUS-based technology implementation direct labor positions before finding, in the summer of 1997, an exciting client opportunity with the USMC Network Operations Center (now Marine Corps Cyber Operations Group). Developed prime contractor positioning for Smartronix as a company with less than 20 employees at the time to support the worldwide migration of the USMC's Banyan Vines-based information networks and the development of the Marine Corps Enterprise Network - a unified, worldwide, network, information, and security architecture that could be managed centrally from Quantico, VA. This experience eventually catapulted Smartronix firmly into a role as a provider of high-end professional network and security managed services throughout the DoD and began Smartronix's evolution from a small products developer toward a (primarily) professional IT and engineering services provider.

Co-founded Smartronix or "Smart Electronics" with Arshed Javaid and Alan Parris in a basement office in Lexington Park, MD with no clients, a stack of credit card applications, and a vision to be a small product development company creating products for the DoD market, specifically special operation communities.

1994 - 1995 Supported the Air Force Special Operations Command in building out its network infrastructure wing-wide at Hurlburt Field, FL.1992 - 1994 Supported the Egyptian Government in the development of an AIS to replace the manual and non-automated processes used to manage multiple multi-million dollar FMS programs. Lived and worked in Alexandria, Egypt.1990 - 1992 Performed Program and Technical Management functions for a wide range of Automated Information Systems (AIS) throughout the DoD community, to include Joint Task Force organizations, the SpecOps community, the Naval Community, and the Air Force Community. Provided program and technical management for the stand-up of the Air Force Special Operations Command Headquarters Campus LAN.

Developed tools based on legacy applications that assisted a Naval Antenna and Avionics Facility to automate the billing and collection for air platform testing.Supported the Joint Tactical Distribution System (JTIDS) Program Manager at Patuxent River, NAS.
